A commitment to diversity

We proactively seek to employ a diverse workforce that is truly representative of the state we serve.

We welcome people of any gender, age, religion, sexual orientation, disability and cultural background. In addition, we have a firm commitment to increase the representation of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people across our workforce.

The department recently became a member of Pride in Diversity (External link) and established the DJR Pride Network to ensure that we are an inclusive workplace. Our network promotes and supports LGBTQI events such as the Pride March, an event which you can see some of our employees enjoying in the photo above.

Through raising awareness and inclusive work practices, we can foster a culture in which diversity is valued and all people are respected.
